Any doctors or people in jobs related to medicine here? Help!?

One of my friends has a little bit of facial hair and acne. she didnt have these things during the time of puberty but now she is 18 years old and she has been getting a little muscular and growing facial hair. The facial hair is not that bad and not visible from distance but she told me that she saw some hair on her neck which totally grossed me out. She has been upset lately and so I was wondering that she might have low estrogen secretions and she could get it artificially. Will that be okay? I have also seen some facial hair on other girls I know and they kind of bleach it. Is it normal for girls to have facial hair?

She can talk to her Dr %26amp; see if BC pills might help or if her testosterone levels are higher which would cause more hair (similiar to wear men would have it)

If she has irregular periods as well, she may have something called pcos. She needs to go to the obgyn to be checked out, make sure you tell her to not be ashamed to tell everything she has been experiencing to the doc as well. Facial hair is not unusual; it depends on your friend閳ユ獨 ethnicity as to what color and how much she gets it, as it differs among race. I will say that upper checks, neck and other places that are attributed to "masculine" places only, can indicate a hormone problem. Please tell her to see a professional as soon as possible. Good luck.
