What physical characterics are typical of an American Indian (please provide references)?

I am trying to find anthropological descriptions of American Indians. For instance, some tribes have facial hair while others are void of bodily hair. Some individuals have straight, black hair while others have brown hair and/or curly hair. Are these the only hair colors? Do all American Indians have brown eyes, or do some have light colored eyes?

well some may i mean there are black people who have differetn eye colors the most common is brown i have seen blacks with light brown, red, brown, dark brown and black hair, and as u know we come on a lot of shades, but that is because we have other things in us.

just so you know, native americans actually came from asia. i have native american in me, my great-grandma was cherokee and she didnt have any body hair, i wish i was like that!!!

are you doing a study on stereotypes? physical characteristics are diverse in all humans and there is no such thing as race when we look at humans in a biological sense. race is just a social construct (made up by people). so there is not such thing, biologically, as an american indian "race," with defined characteristics.
