Will I go bald with bleach?

A few months ago i got my hair highlighted using normal hair bleach, however I didn't get the colour I desired so we went over the highlights possibly over four times using facial hair bleach. In the end I got what I wanted. My question is that I am planning on keeping this hairstyle for a while, and would like to know if the bleach is slowly killing my hair (roots) in time, therefore leading to hair loss?

Bleach won't kill your hair, the hair on your head is already technically dead. It can't kill the hair follicle either (the root).

But bleaching several times over bleached hair will make your hair break off at the scalp. Only bleach the new growth when it is time for a touch up. Bleaching is best to have done by a professional, they will be able to match the color you want to keep.

Wow, you definely need to go to a professional. Maybe instead of getting it over lapped with bleach, get a toner, to tone it down! Then get a conditioning treatment. I would give it a good 4 weeks and then go back to lightening it, if you desire to go lighter! Good Luck : )

I would say no. The only way it's going to hurt the follicle is to have a molecule small enough to get to it. Bleach does not.

No. Over time hair damage/breakage would be more prevalent on the color overlap b/w the roots and rest of hair. Of course as long as you have follicles producing hair and genetically most of your family members are still growing hair etc. then no.

Though if you were to do double processing a professional may be best or at least wait a week or so b/w applications. Also be more concerned about any allergic reaction and scalp burns you might get.

If ppl could go bald permanently (gradually/immediately) with hair bleach esp unwanted body/facial sales would go mad.
