i have an event to go to on Friday night, and I am thinking of getting a facial on Thursday morning. Will my face still be red from the facial? I'm just going for a basic one...nothing too fancy
Also, I'm thinking of going to the place where I get my hair done because I know and trust the owner. I don't think she would hire people who do a bad job..she runs a good salon. What questions do I need to ask though to make sure that I get a good facial.
I can't have my skin looking horrible on Friday night...
How soon do I need to wait after a Facial?
it depends on who gives it.

Er no honey... instead of wasting you money, why dont you start washing your face and use a face mask, i do that and i get flawless skin!
YOU COULD TRY JOHNSONS SUMMER GLOW, IT GIVES YOUR SKIN A RADIENT GLOW AND MOISTURISES IT..

No, probably not. As long as you get to sleep the night before Friday.

Have you had one before? Sometimes the first time you have one you break out. But the redness goes away in like an hour. everyones skin is different though.

I really would wait until next week for the facial, just to be on the safe side. Sometimes you can break out the next day and I wouldn't want to see you take that chance.
About your hair, speak with the owner and see if she can do your hair, not someone you don't know.
Have fun on Friday!

if you are worried about the next day appearences and you dont have a regular esthitician(sic) then id errror on the side of caution and get a mini facial. nothing with any strong acids (glycolic and the like)
truth to tell if you dont have a skin care specialist already picked out then i wouldnt get any work done until after your friday engagement then i would seek a good one out.

Do not get a facial within a week of a special event, particularly one in which you might be photographed, UNLESS you routinely get facials, which it reads as though you do not.
Facials, even the most basic ones, tend to cause breakouts in people who do not get them routinely. You are stimulating the blood vessels and oil glands in your face, which can cause redness and breakouts in the short term.
Get your hair and nails done as a treat for Friday, then start regular facials after your big event. By the NEXT big event your face will be used to the facials and your skin will glow.
If you let a good esthetician know your plans, she will warn you of possible breakouts. A trustworthy esthetician would rather you look nice for your big night than make her commission on a facial that might do more harm than good short-term.
Have fun Friday!

I would recommend having the facial a week before any special dates. But if you need to have a facial, just tell whoever is doing it to make sure to use gentle cleansers so you won't peel.
