Removing a Permanent 5 oclock Shadow?

Unforutunately I have been tortured by facial hair even since I have been able to grow it. Now I am approaching twenty years old and it is a major detriment to my confidence. My light skin does nothing to hide the dark, coarse hair primarily on my upper lip. Immiediatly after a shave I have a 5 oclock shadow, due to the fact that my hair is visible even under my skin. However this look is not stylish and facial hair on my "baby face" is akward and uncomfortable. I've tried tweezing hairs but the process is long, painful and possibly worsening the situation.

Are there any other methods aside from electrolysis and laser that may be effective? Would veet and the like work on hair that has yet to pierce the surface of my skin?

Here is a picture of me roughly 2 hours after shaving.

i have never seen anything like that. but i would not recommend using a depilatory (cream to remove hair) on your face even if the brand says you can. i did once and it turned all red and bumpy for a week and didn't remove the hair. i would suggest waxing it, and that wouldn't be necessary more than twice a month, and the good thing about waxing is that your hair grows back less and less each time!

Just keep a really short beard...sometimes people like the unkept look
