What is the deal with nose hairs? I used to not have them but the older I get,(37) the more funky yo

I was just wondering do nose hairs have a certain length that they grow to and what can I do to make them stop growing. It is embarrassing to see ugly nose hair hanging out of any nose but especially my own. I am a female and the nose hair problem should be a man only problem. ha ha ha I used to make fun of my ex husband for nose hairs peeking out of his nostrils and would sometimes pull them(had no idea until I did it to myself just how bad that really hurts), I suggest not doing it! Anyway I really hate that the older I get I have begun to get facial hair(could be hormones) but as for nose hair I know that they assist in the prevention of germs or foreign bodies entering the body through the nose but I don't remember them being noticable. They have mysteriously started growing wildly. Yuk!!! Thanks for any of your responses.

Get a trimmer, unless you want to pay for a laser treatment. I am 35 and all of the sudden in between waxings I get these corkscrew looking eyebrow hairs that I have to pluck, getting older is crazy.
