Why do ladies with man hair not shave it off?

I don't mean to degrade the ladies with mustaches and chest hair, but I don't understand why women with facial and chest haiir, not shave it off. I seen that my ex-girlfriend had hair on her chest when she wore one of those shirts that reveal the chest area. It was a short relationship and I never got comfortable enough with her to ask her why. I just seen an older lady with a nice mustache and I just want to know why they don't shave?!

In some ethnic groups, the vellus hair is replaced by terminal hair (the dark kind) in both men and women. Usually women from areas where the climate is very dry and hot will have that trait (strange but true.)

I don't know and I wish someone would enlighten me. I shave anything that I think shouldn't have hair on it just because I hate body hair on myself. I am fairskinned and because of my heritage, I am not a hairy person.

As for chest hair and moustache hair on women, shaving is typically not the answer. It either has to be waxed or bleached and a lot of women don't want to go to trouble, besides which many are in denial about the problem. I mean all women have very small soft hairs on their faces, anyway and it's easy to deny the moustache thing. As for older women, many of them don't care anymore. They're not trying to impress anyone, so why should they go to the trouble? I agree that every woman should go to at least a little bit of touble to make sure that she at least looks presentable. Many women simply don't care or notice

Probably because shaving hair can make it thicker and then your stuck with stubble in awkward areas. But most likely they are not even aware that it is drawing attention. I have a couple of East Indian Friends who have this problem, mostly they bleach it blond so it's nearly invisible or they wax it away. If they can afford it the get electrolysis or laser hair removal.
